Most overused words by bassists

pierced scrotum

Are you talking about me? :hiding:

There are many overused phrases used by bassists, but here are a few that come to the top of my head (which I can't stand):
-"all the way up" as in, "just turn everything all the way up"
-"smiley face" as in, "smiley face eq"
-"knobs" has in, "just screw around with the knobs"
-"Mark Wilson" as in, "Mark Wilson"
-"chord" as in, "Where's my chord?"
-"why" as in... well, anytime it's used.

Then there's the inevitable "you can really feel it in your chest".

flat. most people wouldn't know flat response if it bit them on the ass, yet so many bassists use it in reference to their amps, despite the fact that they're usually not flat.

btw, i count myself in the numbers of people who wouldn't know flat if it bit them on the ass. used to think i did, then i'd discover i was fooled. so now i just move knobs till it sounds good.

I measured mine---its 19' wide and flat!

"No dammit it goes like this"
When yelling at rhythm guitarists.

"Doo ba deet deet ba doo ba deebah deet deet"
and making noises like this^^^^

My friend (who is a rhythm guitarist btw) does that a lot. I can subconsciously hear him yelling at me, "NO! NO! It's not ti tataa dub di dub dub da di da daa derpty derp derp. It's ti tataa dub dub dub di daa di daa ti taa derpty derp"

My face after that = :eyebrow:
