My Band Staged A Coup

The vocalist was on my side - one of the reasons they tried to replace him too. I managed to keep him in, but he doesn't even want to stay now. He acknowledged it was his bad for bringing in the drummer and apologized many times.

Plus my wife likes him and gets mad when I get mean to him or upset over the whole thing.

Stupid frikkin drummer broke in to my garage today and jacked pieces of my drum kit to replace pieces he lost at a venue.

I am so bloody pissed. Don't even care about the fuggin drums, but I feel so bloody VIOLATED that I can't even begin to put into words how pissed I am. He also jacked the vocalist's PA.

And none of those guys will return my damn calls.

Dude, I'm a non-confrotational sort of guy too, but there's a difference between not being confrontational and standing up for yourself.... a big difference. These guys think they can walk all over you, and you seem content to let them do so. I felt bad when I first started reading this thread, but after this, me thinks you are simply getting what you deserve. Grow a pair and man up.... take care of these idiots pronto, or stuff like this is gonna keep happening.

At this point, why are you attempting to deal with them yourself instead of letting the police deal with them?

FIVE O " Book um Danno". Hey wasn't that supposed to take place where you are O.P. ?
4 choices,
1.Call the cops
2. Kick their @$$e$, and take your stuff back.
3.Kick their @$$e$, and call the cops.
4. Be their own private whore, and invite them to do you again, and again, and again.
Come on, I thought you was a Florida Cracker. I KNOW you ain't gonna take that crap.

Dude that's going to far. Call the cops.

Agh, I can't believe what I'm reading. I've had **** with bands (usually with singing chicks in, I won't work with chick singers any more) but this is almost surreal. I'm thinking this could be a wind up too, because no one I know would put up with a 10th of the **** I'm hearing here.

Apart from everything else tho, my prevailing thought is YOU HAVE TO GET YOUR GEAR BACK. That's the tools of your trade man. I've lost songs & band names of mine before now, it hurts for a bit but I've come back harder because of it, you will. But for chrissakes man move heaven & earth to get your stuff back, or it's going to cost you just to get started again on top of everything else.

& personally, unless this drummer is some hideous mutant 'roid freak with a murder conviction, I would by now be moved kick the living crap out of him. Non-confrontational my ass.

Sheesh!

Well, minor update:

The band reneged on their promise to change their name because an article came out in a local scene publication about them. Picture included me during a gig we did, but the article mentioned every member, past and present EXCEPT me. Pissed me off pretty good.

However, my promotions group recently held a show (which I uninvited them from) in Maui which was quite possibly the greatest show I have ever had the pleasure of being involved with. So much energy, so much ROCK, just frikkin great.
