My Dream Combo... Finally!

Just curious to know why you didin't install a handle on top to be able to pick it straight up? Seems to me that it would be more convenient to have this as well, especially when a cover is on it.

By vertical, I'm assuming you mean the 10's are on top of each other correct? I actually thought of that. It would theoretically make the footprint smaller, but you would still need enough width for a standard rack head. You might save a couple inches, but in the end I decided on side-by-side. To each their own though. Go for what you know. :)

I've actually been gas-free for several months now... thanks to you that's no longer the case.

Sorry man. Guilty as charged. :)

Tell ya what... I just got back from doing a jam session with it. Man this amp rocks! I played with a guitarist (tube 212 combo), drummer (Gretsch rock kit), and keyboardist (115 combo). I used my MM Stingray and a couple pedals. I never had to turn the volume past 3 and it was great tone. This baby was a good purchase. I'm way happy.

That is simply beautiful.

I've been looking into upgrading my combo (SWR LA15), and wanted your exact specifications.

Does the Carvin allow another extension cab to be paired up? If so, that would be amazing.

500watts in 50lbs... mindblowing...

d=wait till you guys see the new GK combos coming out is August. 500 watts into 30 pounds. and only $600-$700.

I'm sorry I know this thread is a little old and I dont want to beat a dead horse but... I went through two GK MB212's and am now considering a Carvin BR515N. I came across this thread and it sparked my interest. Did you supply all the parts and have the guy supply the cabinet? How did that situation work?
