My Dream Combo... Finally!

I was very impressed with the combo that the OP put together here so called Don this AM and put in an order. It will be a vertical stacked 2x10 NEO with the same 2 space rack and handles as pictured.

Cool, I would really like to see the pics of the vertical one and how the rack space on that one turned out. I really like this design, but I would also prefer a vertical one. I would probably put wheels on the side.

I also would add an add-on cabinet: also a 2x10" vertical one but probably replaced the tweeter with a second port. This one would have no wheels so it can use ground coupling. When I would need to roll them together I would put the combo on the side and put the extension cabinet on top.

I would put my Peavey IPR poweramp in the rack space.

This is all theoretically speaking though. Shipping an LDS cab or two to Europe would be way too expensive.

Still, waiting for the pics of the vertical version :)

Well, I had my first practice with it last night! I'm impressed, as was the rest of the band! I ran everything flat - that's all it needed! The tube drive is awesome; it really does what they say and gives it a bigger, fuller sound. I ran my volume at 5, the drive at 3 and it was plently loud! I'm in love. Thanks Carvin! LOL

I am still waiting but I will post pics when I get it.

Still waiting but Don has been in touch. He has been moving and has had family problems (death in the family) which has delayed some of the cabs at this time.

He called me this past Monday and is working on it as we speak. He is putting some sort of device on it so I can tilt it back at no extra cost!! Cool.

I imagine I should receive it next week.

Again, I will post pics.

Very cool. Another fellow here did the same thing with an LDS cab but he stuck a BX1200 in it. His name escapes me at the moment... But he let me fiddle with it at a big ass bassplayer party in Chicago! Sounded great!!

^ Update?

Rather poor pics but here it is. A bit bigger than I thought it would be but I don't think it weighs 50lbs even with the amp in the slot.

The tone is beautiful with way more bottom than I thought it would have. I hope I never have a gig where I need anymore than this as it is very convenient and with my bass strapped over my shoulder it is a one load scenario. Beautiful!!

Anyway, kudos to the OP for the design and to Don for carrying out the project so well.
