Great story! Nice how you came to the realization that putting a Fender logo on a great WARMOTH custom that you designed did not make sense.I figure this is a good place to mention that my newly finished (transparent green) Warmoth P/J build is absolutely FANTASTIC! it has a Fender high mass bridge, Schaller tuners, EMG GZR pups (P/J set), maple neck w/ blocks and binding, a tortoiseshell pickguard and Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky strings (45-105) and it's the absolute BEST sounding Bass that I own (out of 9), Hands Down! ... for a minute, I thought about placing a Fender waterslide logo on the headstock, then I'm like SCREW THAT, the only thing Fender on this Bass is the HM bridge, I'm gonna create my own waterslide logo and put THAT on the headstock cause, "WHO PUT THIS THING TOGETHER HUH?!, ME! DAS WHO!!" I love Fender, but they don't make/sell anything as cool as this Bass (pictures to come). price for everything altogether about $900/$950 and well worth it; I WILL be building another Warmoth Bass (Jazz) sometime in the future.
I own two Fenders, but I am not connected to a particular brand. I judge basses on their individual tone, construction and weight.
