My personal very custom pedalboard build....here we go.

Beautiful board!
makes my painted plywood board look like.. well.. painted plywood :(

Like the height and angle too.
Good thing you wont be moving that board around much 'cause it looks tricky to maneuver that podium around narrow hallways and twisting staircases.

Thanks very much. I have three more pedals in that I need to install. I also have the wenge veneer, for the inlay on the front, in. Good bit of work left to do to complete it and I have been very busy! :)
It seems to not be difficult to move. I would not travel the world with it, but it carries very easy and fits through the hall and doors very simply. I don't think my children could carry it, but its not that heavy. ;)

Well, it's been a while and I have been through quite a bit of stuff. That first pedalboard really turned out nice, but I have had nothing but ideas for a new one and the amount of space needed has gone down. Soooooooo, I will post the new model stuff on this thread and update it as the board updates.

Design on the new one is really getting deep, I am planning on starting the build today. There is quite a few changes from the first one and quite a few "new things" that I have never even seen on any other pedalboard. I plan on building two; the first out of plywood and the second out of highly beautiful black cherry and something else, I have a ton of nice wood. The plywood pedalboard will be to work out all the details: it going to be very little like the very first board and I want to work out any problem first. I'll post up a few pics as it goes along.

Well, got the first one put together yesterday. It turned out super nice and is about half the weight of the first. The design is much different than the first and, in my opinion, look much nicer. I'll take some pics a bit later and post them up.

Here are some pics of the next one, compared to the first. This one was just for design and the final will be different, with more design and much more beautiful wood. There is quite a bit more things of design I won't mention until the final.

Alrighty, got a ton of upgrade and been changing quite a bit of stuff on the actual design. I really thought about not posting these pics and start selling some of these boards, but kinda decided against it. I decided to set up the wood to match the two basses I have...a Callowhill and an Elrick; which are swamp ash (which I do sell) and macassar ebony. The top is angled and the pedalboard flat is actually bookmatched. Anyways......here are the first set of pics.

Bookmatching the pedalboard:

Cutting and preparing the sides......which are also bookmatched!:

This is the angled front section of the pedalboard that will actually be able to be tilted after completion(to be able to connect the cables):

This is the angled piece that will be closest to the me(you can see another set-up behind the pieces):

This is the actual top for the pedals to set upon....it has been bookmatched:

This piece is actually for behind the pedals inside the board and I set it up to carry the grain through. This piece takes a ton of work on top to get the angles correct to match the swivel top(all the angles don't show up in the pic):

BTW: I sell swamp ash to many builders and here is a pic of one stack of ash I have......this is where I got my ash for my pedalboard!:hiding:
