Another one from a gig I did tech work on:

The guy played a 2k-something black/maple MIM jazz and a DB through it. Sounded good.

It was his rig, but I figure you'd want to see it anyway.

Tonight's backline consists of Knob Creek on the rocks. My singer advanced this show and I'm left with a JBL M-series 12" monitor.

I'm thinking I might need another whiskey so I can stack them to get the coverage I need.

careful, if you stack that whiskey sideways you'll have issues with horizontal dispersion

I wish I had the presence of mind to snap pics at SXSW last week. But there wasn't much time to think... I mixed 46 acts in 4 days. Saw ampeg b115, markbass Berlin model, SVT4PRO w/ 610... but my favorite was the Aguilar Tone Hammer 500 on a hartke aluminum driver 4x10 AND Peavey BW118.

We hid the BW as soon as we arrived at the venue. The boards were fun too. Soundcraft Si Expression 3, Presonus StudioLive 24.4, Behringer X32, and an old Yamaha MG 24CL w/ a bunch of behringer and alesis outboard gear.

For the uneducated (me) can you explain how the REDDI works?
Do you plug your bass into it and then it goes straight to the mixing board or do you go bass into amp (or pre-amp) into REDDI and then into the mixing board?

The Aggy on the Hartke was surprisingly nice.

The original Hartke XL's were surprisingly nice sounding cabs. They get heat these days and people always misconstrued 'metal cone = bright' but I used them on reggae gigs with no complaints at all. The 'transporter series' was not great sounding.

I've tried going out of the 1/4" line out of the HSVT and into the REDDI before, but the knobs make the line out change tone and volume so I stopped, and now I just go bass > pedals > REDDI> XLR out to house, 1/4" to amp.

Nope, never at Grantville casino, just Hersheypark. May 2 is the next one

Its called hollywood casino.. 20 minutes from hershey so that may be worth mr bowser to check into. Might make up for some more cash while in town

He makes enough money on those shows not to care since he's also the producer and hires everyone, but I wonder if we could play it by ourselves and turn it into a tie-in date when we go up there. Only problem with that is we're an 8-pc band and Bowzer only brings 4 of us on his gigs, but I wonder if it's doable anyway.

From what I've heard, they pay good... I mean pretty darn good for local cover bands compared to other places around here. It may be worth a look for some side chi-chang, lol

I have a LowB2 and running my WTDI into a 500 watt side of a Crown power amp into it recently made a smile of the large format variety.

Got a fly-in audition Monday with bass and amp provided... I'm slightly uneasy... But I have a kala sub u bass flying with me just in case.

All you can really do is play your best and try not to make it "a thing". If they're expecting you to sound world class on a total POS you may not want the gig...unless the money is good
