The spalt is really cool. I don't normally dig on spalt, but tat one is cool with almost a red streak in it. And just to make sure you know, the quilt body is a "Pbass" body.

Good point. Sorry Tom. Your Skjold LP got me excited enough to take a look at some of the tops. Yours is by far my favorite. Killer flame in that Redwood. That is going to be a smokin bass! Gary

I think it would like really nice with a
Birdseye Maple FB. Gary

Edit: Actually, it would look amazing with a Black Ebony FB!
And it would make a killer Fretless. But I don't play fretless.
But man, I can just see that with Ebony. Even highly figured
Macassar Ebony would be killer.

I think that birdseye redwood with a mac ebony board would be fantabulistic.

My Skjold custom was a result from watching the video everyday that Tom posted of Mike playing his Skjold 4 with the detuner, that tone kept calling me. Then all those cab shootouts, got me buying aggie DB750, berg NV610, a slew of Epifani cabs, kept me from going with Schro something or other, and hasn't helped me with my MTD gas either. It seems that I now have a Tom Bowlus gear starter kit, but I must amit it is nice to have someone else who can purchase all this gear an test it for me, I live on the west coast and don't have a basement to hide, I mean store all the gear I would like to own. Yea honey, Tom said i need 7 basses 4 heads and 12 cabs to play the 5 songs I know.
