If you buy a bass from GC or Sam Ash & get a new pack of strings throw in, they won't ask for those back when you return the instrument 44 days later.
This is definitely a pro tip...

My wife and I have an allowance system where we both get the same amount of spending money every month. We don't get to say what the other gets to do with their money.

BustedYou can sometimes get away with it if they're different; short scale, frettless, five string, strung with flats, strung with round wounds... that sort of thing

As it is written...Love one spouse and many basses and rigs ..So after several purchases over the past 18 months, my wife finally said those words that we all really dread, "Do you REALLY NEED another bass?" Now I know this is a running joke for those of us with chronic GAS, but now I actually have to defend myself with a foolproof response (I am in the process of ordering a custom made J-Bass). I am seeking the ultimate stone cold, show stopping, mic drop answer to this question. I like creativity and thoughtfulness with perhaps a sense of humor.
SOOOOOO TBers, lets have it
THE WINNER!!!!!!!My wife of 36 years told me she was putting her foot down, and if I waste any more money,
that could go into the household, on another bass, she would leave me.
And I said to myself on the way to GC, "Man, I'm sure gonna miss that woman!!!"
