That is a fantastic looking rig. How worth it is the mid boost? I find my meatsmoke is a bit scooped sounding, wondering if it would be worth the hassle of shipping back to Ben to get the feature added.

Yeah I've talked to Ben already great guy and lots of help. Already sent the head back for a few mods... never thought of a mod boost. Why didn't I think of that at the time! Shipping is a pain.

I seem to recall that they had a couple of them a while back and I remember one being listed as used with what appeared to be some shipping damage. They also did the CME/reverb (before the etsy buyout) “garage sale” which featured a number of amps with minor to major shipping damage. I imagine they’ve dealt with enough shipping damage on used/unique gear to this point that it’s just not worth it anymore. Annoying though, as they often have some pretty specialty stuff and it’s a long drive to Chicago. Maybe it’s better for my wallet that things are this way.

Here was the undamaged one, different serial number than the one above with the tilted transformer and replaced hardware
