Hah! They have a following in Northern Europe. Also, a dear friend of mine likes them. We bought a copy of their "Ass Cobra" on CD on the strength of the song titles and the album cover alone without knowing anything about the band. He ended up becoming somewhat of a fan. i jumped in this thread early just to see what folks were choosing as a "band that NO ONE likes" --- i thought it'd be fun to discover something or be reminded of something that i'd forgotten (maybe).
after 12 pages, it turns out: there is no one band that is so vile that "NO ONE" likes them. i appreciate the OP's intent, but it just goes to show = different strokes for different folks. now, how could that be?
that said: some of you who are practicing "social distancing" should continue the practice, even after the pandemic subsides!

ABBA.....One of the highest grossing bands in the history of pop music....Yet....nobody would ever confess to liking 'em.....
In the '70s the the members of hard rock / metal band Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow reportedly all loved ABBA (including Blackmore, Ronnie Dio and Cozy Powell) They even played their songs while rehearsing - but would never admit it to their metalhead fans for over 30 years!

Pretty sure I read that it was only Ritchie that was into Abba, so much so that he wanted to go in a more poppy direction, causing the exit of RJD and soon after Cozy as well.
I remember reading somewhere that someone hung out with Sid Vicious once and all he wanted to do was listen to Foreigners Hot Blooded over and over again.
Charlzm : There are videos of Ritchie Blackmore saying that it was all of those band members. However, Ritchie does like to irritate band members, by saying stuff they don't like!

The thing people miss about Kiss is that they should never be viewed as a musical act. Yes, music was involved(and I'm not going to make any judgements, I was too old to be in their target demo when they came along), but it was an entire entertainment onslaught; they were a circus, a living comic book, a live horror show, a fireworks display, a brilliant marketing/merchandising campaign, and oh, yeah, there was a big noise on stage. And that demographic target? Younger teens who wouldn't know or care that the big noise was a bunch of recycled/mutated Stones riffs, cliched guitar leads/drum solos, and a bass player who was more of a freak show than a player. Fist pumping anthems, not really heard in rock before. Pure Barnum. The "Kiss Army" involved the fans; it was their secret club. And it worked, much to chagrin of 'serious' music fans who forgot what it was like to be kids. Much later, I finally, begrudgingly(but not taking it seriously), "got it". Still doesn't make me a fan at all, but I understand why they existed. As far as Lou is concerned, I think he did alright. There's plenty of VU covers that brought money in, especially when the world and a new generation caught up with them, plus his solo career did have a few high points.
