Yeah, I thought about straightening those out, but just ran out of time last night and didn't want to wait any longer. The problem was, you couldn't get far enough away to really get those in without having a constant stream of people getting in your way. Taking NAMM shots is definitely a challenge... especially on Saturday, the craziest day of all. Bad planning on my part mostly. Next time, it's ALL about getting there earlier!!! :)

Judging from your post it seems like it might be kind of nice. (at least for a warwick amp) :D

But, how was it? I have heard alot about this pre from a close friend, But he has not played through it yet so his opinions are useless to me. :smug:

For the most part I didn't think this year was as good as last, but I don't know a lot of the people there like most folks. In some areas there's waaaaay to much wankery going on. It's like Guitar Center x1000 at some points. I stayed in D hall most of the time where it was mellow. Don't get me wrong though there were some great grooves going on and it's really overwhelming! Good to see some friends, and meet some others I've never met though!

Yes, I got to play through that rig and through the Thunderverb. I was very impressed with both. The EQ on the AD200 is not all that powerful, but you don't need it to be. It delivers a full, rich, yet articulate clean tone, and can get a bit gritty, if you want. It was the kinda tone that would get it done for me all night. :bassist::bassist::bassist::bassist: The overdrive on the Thunderverb was just to die for, but unfortunately, it did not get as loud as the AD200. Man, I'd love a morphing of those two heads!!! :cool:

Tom bangin' it out with what probably would have been his first Zon if it was a 5 stringer! I'm going on record now saying Tom WILL own a Zon someday. Mark my words right now. :)

Yup, that bass definitely hooked me! I was going to stop back and talk turkey with Joe, but ran out of time. I gotta get me a 5-string Zon! :eek:

Me and Ken Lawrence... another super cool dude. Had a binder with a bass gallery in it and showed Tom and I some really amazing stuff.

Yes, that did not help the GAS at all!!! And Ken was an exceptionally nice guy, to boot! :)

Hugh McDonald... one of my heros... SO down to earth and SO talented. Amazing guy to talk to... like he's your best friend right off the line.

You really said it right. Hugh definitely makes you feel like a friend from the get go. I was blown away when he told me that he reads all of my reviews, and that he definitely hears the same things I do. Wow, that just freaked me out (in a good way :D).

One of my favorite basses of the whole show! I finally got to play an F! Ok, yeah, I get it now. LOL! *sob* GAS!!!!

Vic, I went back and played that bass with the burled redwood inlays, and I must say, it killed! It was my first time playing an F Bass also, and I have to say that George's basses are right up there with the best of the best. :cool:

The beginnings of the after-hours on Satuday. This band was great, and yeah, that's the way he played that thing all night, and he sounded awesome.

I talked to that guy later on and asked him if he also played violin, and he said that yes, he learned to play violin as a kid, and that affected his bass playing style.

Hanin' with Neal Schon at Loffler's! Checkin' out the Jeff Scott Soto band and Marcus Mendoza! The sound system (ugh, Fender, but they sponsored, so whaddyagonnado) SUCKED, but the show was AWESOME!!!!

I did not get a chance to play it myself at the show, but I heard others playing and it sounded pretty good.
