NBD: 1956 Gibson EB-1

This to me is my favorite Gibson Bass.
The 1953-1958 EB-1 are simply amazing. These pickups sound wonderful.
This bass, with a good tube amp turned up is tone heaven.
My first concert 1970-Boston Tea Party, Mountain.
Felix Pappalardi playing one of these, with 3 Sunn 2000s heads.
with 6 2x15 Sunn 200s cabs. Voice of god.

Those basses should require a license to play. If you're not careful, at high volume, you could induce labor in pregnant women. Dislodge loose fillings from teeth. Make your audience incontinent (loosen bowels) as well as strip paint and wall paper and break windows.
Enjoy with caution!

No hate here, i'd love to play one of these! Besides Mr Pappalardi, Jack Bruce played one of these on the Cream reunion concert dvd a few years ago. (And it sounded marvelous)
Congrats on your purchase!

So true.
Jacks bass has a 70's 34" scale EBO neck on it.
After playing Warwick's, he could not go back to 30.5" scale.
It sounds great too.
