That is one beautiful finish on that bass and a nice touch with a matching headstock. Congrats.

Edit: Found the Ibanez 'inspection' tag... August, 2015. Sweetwater's has signatures, but no dates... convenient, to say the least.

Actually, they inspect them (twice) when they receive them. That's also when any setup happens to restore it to factory default (in case anything shifted in transit to them). They keep their warehouse temp and humidity regulated and don't do an additional setup before shipping out.

The pics happened in between the first and second inspection points (when it arrived). Instruments come in, they get inspected, they get photographed, then they get inspected and set up. From there they get put away. When they're purchased, they go straight from the shelf to the UPS or FedEx truck.

I'm finding this to be true... despite the D.O.A. (Defect On Arrival), I'm very happy with it! Spot on, @SirMjac28, regarding the neck. I'm a huge J-bass fanboy, and even with this being a 5'er, it's reminiscent of my J's, speed and profile wise... definitely offers up a different overall sound, as compared to the others (which in my book, is good!)... I'm still learning to tame (and learn) the low B on a 5, but I can see this being utilized in both rehearsal, and upcoming gigs, sooner rather than later.

Levy, leather front, suede back, and very comfortable... just put the Dunlop strap-looks on it, too (have enough pins for all basses, but have only installed on the Highway One, so far... you know how it is ;))... I also have a Levy padded leather strap, but the other just fits the bill better...

Me, I prefer a little more "pop" on a figured top - the one you got has that. The matching headstock looks great. The "one that got away" is just a little too subdued IMO. Both basses look great though. Kudos for Sweetwater helping you solve the jack issue!

I have a few extra strap-lok pins to install, a pair of them reserved for the Ibanez...

I took the original pin and screw out from the upper horn, comparing the them to their replacement... no-go. The original screw is shorter, and possibly a different threading. I even checked the depth of the hole (with a toothpick), and I bet the Dunlop screw needs at least another 3/16"... I even tried swapping original screw with new pin, and final screw purchase would be even less, as the screw head prohibits it dropping all the way down into the pin...

... sad these accessories, and their respective 'moorings' can't be more standardized. Well, either leave 'as is', or get out the drill...

... or the hardware store, down the street.
