Wow! It would take me forever to master that but it would be fun to play it.
Actually, I would LOVE to take something like that to my next rehearsal. Our guitar player has occasionally given me the stink eye because I play 5-strings exclusively. It would be fun to show up with that, take it out of the case, say nothing about it, and just start playing.

Have you ever checked out the Mobius Megatar? I don't know if he is still building those things or not!

Please don't misunderstand me-the bass looks very nice, and I'm sure the builder is top notch.
Just to see the look on every guitar player's face at a Blues Jam would be worth it alone...........

Thats awesome! Jean is definitely one of my heroes for sure and Scott is a friend of mine and helped me learn what its all about to be an extended range bassist is. But thats awesome man and good for you man! I got my 9 from Oscar when I was 18. Its so cool you're so young getting into ERBs!I have craved an eleven string bass ever since I heard Jean Baudin, and an 18-string ever since I heard Scott Fernandez. Oscar is at the top of my list for both, so maybe when I turn 18, he'll have a fair bit of money coming his way

Kidding aside, these extended range instruments are really amazing. It's too much for me (I'm a lowly hobbyist, play only for fun and personal development) though I find it interesting how far people can push the envelope.
