I set up a build thread for this 3 or 4 years ago and hardly anyone is following it anymore so I figured I could do one more thread with pictures of the finished instrument. We plan to sell it in a charity auction and donate the proceeds to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation.

For those interested in the journey, here is a link to the old build thread. Pictures of the finished bass are shown below. Many thanks to Sweetwater for the photo shoot!

Lots more information and photos are available on our Facebook page.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone!! We put out a press release today and are expecting some buzz over the next week or so.

After doing this for almost 10 years we seem to have found our sweet spot.

Next project might be a Mad Max double neck guitar/bass with (faux) flamethrower. The idea seems to have traction. Somebody on Instagram double dog dared us to go through with it so it seems like it’s mandatory now.

OMG!!! I usually hate stuff like this but that is ONE AWESOME BASS!!! Absolutely love it! Too cool!

I was gonna ask, but I always ask and then someone makes fun of me for asking.

But... yeah, what’s it weigh?

From the build thread - just over 10lbs.

@Doner Designs I was following the original build thread with great admiration. Such a great build thread and the whole thing is epic. Great work.

Is the wiring on the back a little impractical for playing standing up?
