Bama is making Clemson’s offense look like a shadow of last year’s. Kelly Bryant, to this point, is definitely no Deshaun Watson.

It felt to me like Clemson gave up when they got the ball with about seven minutes left.

In a matter of hours, the SEC went from the second-biggest punching bag of the bowl season (after the PAC 12) to locking down the national title.

I loved that. And have often felt the same about Jim Harbaugh.
I'm in NW GA, right in the thick of SEC country with UGA, UT, AL, AU, FL fans all around. So it doesn't matter which one wins it's obnoxious. I kind of wanted to pull for GA but I'm a Tech guy so it's hard. So it seemed I could be happy with either outcome. From a neutral observers stand point that was a fine game. Found myself pulling for whoever was behind at the time.
Got to hand it to the dogs for the comebacks. Their players, especially the kicker, are hard not to like. But the fans...
At least it's Monday games and I don't have to listen to them Sunday morning. You'd think they were all out busting their asses at practice all season long.
Interesting matchup for the final. I'd give GA the offensive edge and AL the defensive. Bama's got the Saban experience but Smart was right there with him. Neither fared well against a healthy Auburn. Could go either way. How's that for some expert prognostication?
P.S. Big10 can brag all they want about their great record in meaningless bowl games but there's nothing like the SEC for honey shots.

As for the Big Ten, I do think bowl records have some meaning, so I'll give credit where it's due. But they'd better acknowledge their bowl record over the previous decade or so, 'cause it ain't pretty.

I'm still lamenting the crappy showing the PAC-12 put in during bowl season. It was nice to visit San Diego for the Holiday Bowl, but the game was a loser.
Who'd have thought that losing your starting QB and two top wide receivers before the game, and having your all-american defensive tackle held out for the first half, could have made a difference??
Huh. Go figure. The team just didn't have a spark for that game.
And we learned that Luke Falk had a broken left wrist since Week 2, and they've been putting it in a cast and covering that with a black glove for every game. The wrist got worse after the Apple Cup and he had to have surgery, so his backup Hilinski played. No wonder Falk was a bit up and down this season.
