NCAA Week 13

I'm just having some fun. This year has been almost too civil around her, so I'm trying to rachet it up a bit.

Q: You know what they say about Auburn's national champtionships?
A: If you've seen one, you've seen them all.

Sorry, no predictions this week on the big college football front from me. I'm just happy my Huskers won the ' BIG XII North bedpan trophy ' before they make their way to Colorado, and then it's off to face Texas. Buffalo burgers are mighty tasty, but Longhorns are so much tougher to bring down. It's a long shot, but I gotta' root for Big Red. Anyway's it's been a fun season across the board for college ball.

True. It will be us or you guys.

I'm really excited about the SECCG. I think it's going to be a classic, even more so than last year. With both teams being a little more inconsistent, it just makes it that much harder to predict. If one team plays it's best game while the other struggles, I really think the margin of victory could be pretty high for the winner. If Tebow or McElroy can have a 70% passing game for 150+ yards, then the score could get away from the loser pretty quickly.

I can see McElroy struggling and putting it all on Ingram. We could win or lose that way. While I can't see Tebow really having a big rushing game, I do see him hitting some deep passes and quick routes to move the ball. Our DB's have looked very vulnerable on a few occasions this year. Our pass rush will have to get in there quickly to shake Tebow up. I'm concerened that his rushing threat will make that difficult, but then again lesser defenses have done a good job with Florida this year even though they lost ultimately.

Florida's DB's are good enough that McElroy can't just lob the ball and expect Julio to catch it. He just hasn't played as good this year. Maze won't be able to break away on the deep ball as easily against Florida's speed, so who knows. We have to open up the passing game with crossing routes, and then jam Ingram down the middle.

I like our chances, but by no means do I consider this a win. I liked our chances last year, and I'm a bit more confident this year. But the inconsistency in both teams....man. I wouldn't bet any serious money on this game.

As for Auburn, they might as well not show up. :D

The jokes probably won't be very funny since TCU will likely play Georgia Tech regardless of what happens to Bama in the SECCG. :smug:

Make that the end of your bedtime prayers, Eublet.

"Lord, please let the Frogs play anybody but us!"

TCU aches for the blood of either one of those SEC pretenders.......

The Horns will handle the other one!!

Eublet, does that get the party started?????:D

Texas vs. Texas A&M

While Texas A&M hasn't been anything special in quite some time, the annoying-little-cousins of Texas college sports always try to play up against Texas, so this could be an interesting game.

Texas will still steamroll them anyway, and then on to play Nebraska in the championship game.

Fair enough. We did get screwed in '04 though. You have to admit that.

Regardless, Alabama is going to have their hands full this Friday on the Plains!
Yes, all in good fun. You guys did get screwed in 04, thankfully! :D

But I don't think we'll have our hands full Friday! Sorry! (I have been wrong this year, as a couple other perfect prognosticators here want to remind me.)
