Need a "hippie" bass... suggestions?

Hippie bass? I know what my dad what would have said: "Rub dirt all over it & glue some hair on the headstock."

How do ya hide money from a hippie? Put it under a bar of soap.

you mean Tony Vorell? i haven't seen him in at least 15 years. we had alot of fun back in those days.

Whittier Music was the place to go. Last time I heard about him (>15 years ago) was that he was doing sound for a pretty big church in Whittier.

really? i've never seen a hippy playing any more than a 4 stringer, especially back in the 60's.

The Modulus Quantum 5 or 6 is the current most common bass I've seen in the 'hippy' scene...

Mike Gordon (Phish ) has been playing a Q5 since the mid 90's. Possibly the cause of this "trend".

yeah, he was always an audiophile freak. back in the 70's, i remember going to his house alot and playing with his $40K state of the art stereo systems. i think that he lives in Big Bear now. i should look him up.
