NEW Acoustic 360/361

That's bad business practice. A manufacturer should never under bid their distributors or retail outlet. He should in fact say to you to call his one retail outlet and work out a price with them.

Are these available through a retail outlet? Can you order these through GC or any other retailer, or are these custom-order only.

Kinda like Sadowsky NYC and Sadowsky Metro lines? It's the rare exception that you'll see ANY NYC available anywhere other than Sadowsky.

I only ask cause I don't know. I did get to play through an all original 360 preamp last week and that was an experience I won't soon forget.

Never said anything about underbidding, but a manufacturer is under no obligation to never sell direct to a customer who is 3,000 miles away from the lone retailer. Seeing how there's only one dealer in the US (FL), the company selling direct to a long distance customer might be appropriate..as long as the agreed upon price is comparable.

Seeing how there's only one dealer in the US (FL), it would only be bad business practice if he were undercutting Jammers Music Center with a reasonably close customer.
Jammers is the only authorized dealer in the country and it's an hour away from me. You'd think I could get inspired to drive down there and try it out at least. But I can't...getting to Kissimmee is a PITA from where I'm at.

The new 360 is an upgraded version of the original 360 by the original designer, Russ Alee.

I suppose I should pose my question to you Nick.
I've been reading a lot about the 361 cab, but if I got one of the powered cabs, it would be the 361M which is identical except with a 15 instead of the 18....also has the same folded horn has the 361. It's 25lbs lighter & 12" shorter. I'm also curious about the performance of their new 410 cab. It has a diagonal zig zag configuration & stands 36" tall. That one is unpowered & would require the Acoustic 400 watt power amp in conjunction with the 360 preamp. If I'm not going to get the granddaddy 18" model, would the 410+power amp be better than the powered 361M with 15?

Regarding pricing, some equipment manufacturers make special pricing deals with their more-important (or more-visible, or more-respected) clients every day. It may not be too big of a deal as long as the numbers are kept low relative to the retail channel.

I'm sorry for repeating misinformation, i.e. that the MSRP is the street price. If these are going for less than there is no logic in keeping it a secret from anyone unless they negotiate with George.

I wish Acoustic USA well, but they ain't making it easy...

Especially since Flea has "dropped out"...Wonder if George will still "use" him at the show.

Since they waited 8 months and the release of this video to take him off the website as a supporting artist after he stopped using them live

He probably still owns them though. I didn't hear about him selling them off. I would guess that what George and Flea have going is whatever they have going. :)
