New ampeg speculation - A true B15 Reissue?

Only by folks who don't know what they're talking about.

They use different pots (linear vs. log), the insertion loss is different, etc, etc.
sorry you can't see my eyes glaze over ;)

jess always called it a baxandall circuit, most people over the years called it a baxandall circuit, so much like the way vibrato and tremolo got to be used interchangeably, it happened and there you go.

Dear AmpegUSA (sorry I can't name you other than your nickname),

Thanks for these explanations. I guess nobody ever doubted the Heritage B15 is top notch. Nobody. Really.

OK, let's wait until the NAMM show. My personal wish is that you will introduce a "regular" all-tube B15 (I mean, non-Heritage), available to many users without the limited run. Which means do with the B15 what you already do with the SVT-CL and others.

Thanks again,
Jay.

My name is Ryan. I have been with LOUD for nearly 5 years. Started in tech support and now work as the communications lead for Ampeg (and the other LOUD brands). I am an audio engineer by trade and a musician and homebrewer in the spare time. On Talkbass, I am officially representing Ampeg. So, anything I say is likely filtered through Pyotr Belov and whoever else needs to check it out before I post.

Thanks for the support, guys.

Any plans to add a model of this amp to AmpegSVX?

This would people compare it to other Ampeg amps even if they can't get their hands on one.

As far as I know that was a one time sort of agreement. I will talk with the powers that be about that. I would personally love to see a whole bunch of Ampeg gear that is not currently represented there.

+1 to everyone else, thanks for taking the time to communicate with us!

As much as it is disappointing that there will only be 50 made, I agree that it's great to see Ampeg making an effort like this. Despite admittedly not being much of an Ampeg guy in general, the B-15 is still my Holy Grail amp, just like you said in that post. I just (mistakenly) thought they were unattainable, so I never really thought about it. :)

As we've all read in this thread, many people are very passionate about the B-15 (and Ampeg in general). I'm also looking forward to seeing info about the other two amps in that pic, and I still haven't given up all hope about getting a B-15 reissue... Looking forward to January 13th!

5sg.

Jaheezius, even if they made 1000 I wouldn't be able to justify $2800 to my darling wife, not without a lottery win anyway. Nope, it's not the quantity that troubles me...but I am gladdened deep in my soul that it's being done, and am really looking forward to whatever comes next! :hyper:

what about the back of it? what kind of stuff on the back? does it have (dare i say it?) a...a...di?

ok, i could live with the di, but if it has an effects loop and mutable tuner out, that would break my heart ;)
