New ampeg speculation - A true B15 Reissue?

On the subject of price, here's some food for thought. I found an old ad in the Ampeg book on p. 83 dated from September of 1962 which shows a B15N list price as $355.00. Using an inflation calculator, that comes to about $2,567.74 in 2010.

Even back then, B-15's weren't inexpensive amps, but the quality was there. Probably why there are so many in action yet today!

Let me tell you .. they have their ears to the ground.. especially with you. They know you on TB.. you are famous with them... Im not kidding....
I told one of the reps that you probably sold more ampeg gear for them than One of their huge endorsers..

I'm sure if Ampeg had a rewards program for customer referrals Jimmy would clean house with it!

right on. i don't know dino all that well but i've always been impressed by his dedication and commitment to keeping the brand strong.

I just got done saying this on another thread but I am going to say it again...that black grill cloth on the Heritage 810 has me SERIOUSLY considering trading in my current SVT810E for one. Damn that is HOT!!!!!
dude, i have a flatback from 73 with recently reconed cts speakers and i want to get a heritage 810e for the grillcloth alone...forget what it sounds like...that's just a bonus!

I got a chance to talk to some of the Ampeg guys at the NAMM show last year when they introduced the Heritage series. They were all great guys, and I got the sense that they're really pouring their hearts and souls into the amps they make.

Even the overseas-made stuff is quality - A friend of mine is an SVT fanatic (who isn't?) and owns 13 of them, a few from every era of production. Last year Ampeg gave him an SVT-VR as a thank you for judging a battle of the bands, and he said it was second only to his '71 blueline tonally.
