I am thinking of getting a TH500 and CN212 from BD in the UK. It seems to be only one of the few places to stock a good variety of stuff.

Gigged this combo for the first time this weekend. Simply amazing! And for an added bonus, ridiculously lightweight.

Marks shop is like an Aladdin's cave for quality bass gear. It is now the ONLY place I go for my gear. Watch out for the unassuming no pressure sales approach.......
Put in an order late yesterday for a CN212. Thinking about a lightweight replacement for my Aguilar DB212. Dig the DB212, but don't dig the weight, or bad casters.

Thing is...I love my DB212...best tone I've heard from any cab I've tried, and I've struggled to get anything that matches it. So, I'd have to keep it, and have a choice haha!
How do you think the two compare?
I think the DB had a very strong mid voice centered in the mid to upper mid range. Sounds like the CN has a strong mid voice, but centered in the lower mid range. Am I way off here?
Dunno - I'd say that's what the AE212 sounds like more than the CN. The CN is more balanced across the frequencies to my non-golden ear. The DB sounds boxy to me.
The CN212 is MUCH closer to the DB voicing than the very wide, relaxed, modern sounding AE212 to my ear.
The AE212 extends lower, doesn't have much of a low mid bump, and has a very even, relaxed upper mid response, with just a touch of a dip to my ear that lets the upper treble of the tweeter really shine (i.e., to not be masked).
The CN212 (to my ear) has a low end that does not extend quite as deep, has a bit more 'meat' to the low end (meaning a bit of upper bass/lower mid bump), and a VERY even mid mid and upper midrange response that makes the tweeter sound more integrated and 'organic'.
The DB, as posted above, is more about the mid mids, and does not quite have the range of the CN212 to my ear. However, definitely in the same tone universe (at least the 2 x DB112, which is what I owned a while back).

As an oversimplification, the CN212 is a more powerful, more even DB212, and the AE212 is more powerful, more even GS212 (putting this in Aguilar terms).
Just like the DB112's, the CN212 is magic with the TH500!

I'm looking forward to checking out the CN cab. I like the idea that it has a little "meat" in the low end but doesn't extend super deep. I don't really care for that low end "bloom" but do like a good solid low end. I sometime think about it like a sealed vs ported low end response if that makes sense.
I owned a AE212 for a short period. Never really floated my boat. Also had a GS112 that I did not care for at all... so this makes sense, if as an oversimplification, the AE and GS are in the same tone universe.
Anyway, I will have to wait for the CN to arrive and report back.

Just watched (and listened) to your video ken - the AE, TC, and CN comparison. Nice. The AE was my least favorite. I think you can really hear that "meat" in the CN that you are talking about. I like that. CN was my fav of the three.

Reading this description reminds me of what I heard using the Schroeder 15+L (the newer, slightly larger version), only with a lot of "upper bass/lower mid bump".
Ok....so I played a TH500 through the CN212 today.......all I can say is oh my.

Ken, do you know how close the Thunderchild 115 is to the Thunderchild 212?

It has really been working for me on the gig. Really forceful and 'big' sounding for its size, and I can get some nice grind out of it also. I still dig the AE212, but it is much wider and smoother and less punchy, regardless of how I turn the knobs on my various amps.
