I've got a used Crest CA9. It's a LOT of power amp, but it's great power for a bass rig.
No used cabs... other than a Berg HT-322... which ain't leaving any time soon... maybe never.

We just had our windows cleaned. Wow, that almost made as big a difference as the floor did! I guess a year's worth of construction grime really clouds them up!

The weather is supposed to be sunny here in Bburg through Sunday, which is a relief. The roof over our showroom is metal, and you can't hear yourself think in there when it rains. So nature is co-operating with us on that front!!!
Now I just need to devise a plan to fight the blinding light coming in the windows as the sun goes down (currently right around 7:15-8:30, right during the clinic). There are no curtains or blinds yet, so I think the best we can do is angle Jimmy and the seating to minimize the effect. Shouldn't be a problem, but I was glad I was here this evening so I could figure out what to do.
I don't have a good handle on how many people are actually coming to the Bburg clinic. It could be 20, it could 50. We own 25 folding chairs that we occasionally set out for jam nights, but I went ahead and rented another 25 chairs just in case... if more than 50 folks show up, I declare it standing room only.
Danny's making salsa, my wife is making cookies, we'll have some cold beverages (non-alcoholic) on hand...

Sounds like you have things well on hand. Made it to Fargo and my parents house. Get about 5 hours and then it's off to the airport. Ryan's on the same flight so I'm sure we'll meet up at some point.

Well, with the clinic over, it's now back to the grind. In between sales, we're continuing to push to get our showroom done.
Danny's brother is a carpenter/contractor by trade, and he's also quite the wood collector. He cut down and milled a couple walnut and oak trees from their Dad's yard, and he's just been sitting on all that wood for years. We've mapped out what we want to do for trim in the showroom and the waiting room, and it's going to be solid oak baseboard with walnut quarter round on top and walnut shoe molding at the bottom. We'll also screw the baseboard to the wall and plug the holes with walnut.
So here's the raw lumber that just arrived this afternoon:
Here's a quick mockup of the trim detail in the showroom. It'll look a lot nicer when it's actually screwed/nailed in place and finished, but this should give you an idea.

We're also thinking ahead to furniture. I'm going to build a desk/bar/cash-register sort of thing that will sit just outside the big opening in the showroom wall (it will reside right over where the wires come up through the floor). For the top, I'm going to use these two walnut slabs. They both have live outer edges that will remain. I'll joint the inside edges and glue/biscuit the two slabs together. That should yield a total width of 2.5-3 feet and a total thickness of 1/5-2 inches. I think it'll be 8-9 feet long. It should look quite nice if it turns out like I hope...
We also plan to put a seating area in the showroom. A persian carpet sort of thing upon which we'll set a coffee table and a couple sofas and/or chairs. As soon as we said coffee table, Danny's brother said we HAD to use this Redwood stump that he has along with another slab of walnut for the top. There was no arm twisting required.

Dang, them two pieces for your counter top, I'd be thinking more along the lines of weather I want 'em to be a Century or LG.....

Man - that oak is all quartersawn, and most of it is highly figured...

When you get all that done, I'm gonna need to find an excuse to visit B'burg again, to check it all out!
