New Carvin P bass, about time?

So order it with an Icon headstock. That's 2+2. Carvin doesn't offer a MusicMan style 3+1 headstock on anything.

I guess you didn't know that you can customize it with one of six other headstock shapes using the 'bass builder' when you order one?

Carvin posted this on their FB page today and I am pretty sure its a pic of mine. In retrospect, I didn't think about the pickguard going all the way down and should have just done chrome knobs, but that's easily fixable once it arrives:

Oh man! An absolute killer P/J 5er! I'm thinking it's time to upgrade my Squier P/J 5er. I hate TB GAS! You guys are such a bad influence!

Mine just showed up. It's easily the loudest, cleanest passive pickups on any of my Carvins and the active preamp just makes it more. I think they knocked it out of the park with this one. I opted for a flamed maple cap over alder body with rosewood board. I was trying to recreate the feel of my old '63 and '66 P Basses but was seduced by the siren call of emerald green over flamed top maple.
