Love it!! Congratulations!!

Here's the one the folks at Carvin sent me to check out. Pretty conservative as these go-one piece swamp ash body with traditional sunburst, rosewood board, one piece maple neck.
Controls are volume/pan/passive tone control with active bypass/stacked bass and treble EQ. Pickups are radiused humbuckers. The electronics really remind me of the SB series basses-perhaps the best description of the tone of this bass might be "Fender-like" for some reason. I will take it on a Jazz gig tonight and see how we get along. So far, I've not had a whole lot of time to check it out. I hope to get some video up pretty soon as well.
I'm studying it with the eye to making a "Signature Bass" with a couple of personal modifications that will hopefully show up in a later production model. For now, I'm just taking some time to get to know this new instrument. Stay tuned....

That's a gorgeous bass - look forward to hearing your thoughts on it Roy

I'd love to try all the new models they've recently added; Vanquish, JB, PB & Xccelerator.

I wonder though if they'll discontinue some models. The LB series (while great) is a bit dated. Additionally I believe there are no features inherent to the LB line that cannot be had on other models. I would not be surprised to see the LB, XB and B40/50 lines go the way of the Dodo.

The LB and Bunny are the only basses on which you can get dual Music Man pickups, without option 50.

They've had the LB series since the 70's, so I don't see them getting rid of it.

They'll probably just change the styling of it like they've been doing for years: [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Looks like Carvin went ahead and turned that blue five string bolt on prototype from NAMM into a real product!

Visually, these things are quite a departure for Carvin. I'm really digging them, especially the one below with the new "antique ash treatment".

The B40/50s, which I thought were already gone save for being the kit bolt ons, are still listed. They've got 4 bolt on models and 7 neck through models. I bet they thin the herd on the neck thrus next.
