The Pelham Blue looks nice but agreed with the others on the painted neck. I might be able to get along with it but I'd want to play it first. The virtually raw mahogany neck on the DC bass feels awesome, kinda wish they had gone that route.

I really like the look of the black one myself, though I have never played a Gibson.

Ooh that blue one! If only the neck pickup was just a little closer to the bridge.

Olive drab as a gloss color is nonsensical, and looks weird. They should have made it a Faded Series finish, and made every bit of trim and hardware matte black, no binding, no top inlays, etc.

Pelham is classic, of course.

I do like the Pelham Blue, but I have a mental block against the SG shape for a bass guitar. They are probably awesome, but I just can't get behind the shape aesthetically.

if they were going to do a green SG style it should be Dennis Dunaway's modded Frog.
always liked Pelham EBs but prefer a black/smoke/clear guard + a tapped mudbucker.

Pelham Blue for the win!

But I'd want to do something 3rd party for the pickguard. Never liked the look of tort on cooler colors like blue. I'm thinking antique white or maybe the standard Gibson black.

Tort (to me) was always more a warm color thing. That said, I do like the way it looks with that shade of olive drab. Has a certain pimento loaf vibe going for it. Nice!

Beautiful basses. Problem is they'll sound terrible, like all SG basses. An 2014 SG shortie I had was the most disappointing bass I ever owned. Only worked for Jack Bruce stuff, and that's not my ideal tone, despite my admiration for the guy.
