New DR neon strings

These were taken at home to see how they looked under a blacklight. I have a set of four in pink, and a set of five in orange.

I just put the neon orange on my Spector. They sound pretty good. I need to see how they work out when I play with band. I don't think they're as clear as the black beauties I had on this bass before.

Pretty weak when people think about how 'cool' the strings look instead of the most important reason for strings..THE SOUND.. Sounds like a bunch of Justin Beaver wann-bees and reject guitarists posing as bass players. Enough to make Jaco and Phil Linnot roll over in their graves.

Sound comes first, but there's nothing wrong with a string (or anything else) looking good. In the end it's entertainment for the audience. Jaco did stupid flips off his amp, I don't think that made it sound better, but it was entertaining.

Last time I checked I love the way DR Sunbeams sounded. I also like their Marcus Miller signatures. Now you tell me I can get a badass looking string from the company I already use? Why wouldn't I wanna try it out?

Yeah, a guy with a giant Afro and a mirrored pickguard never cared about the way he looked on stage. Lynott (not Linnot) understood SHOWbusiness.

Ok. So I've got a set of black beauties and love them, but I was leaning towards putting a set of Neons on my bass. Problem is I have been unable to find any pictures of them on a sunburst finish....other then the neon green ones on page 11 of this thread.
Just wondering if anyone has pictures of the Neon Orange strings on a Sunburst finished bass.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the information.

However, and perhaps it was my phrasing, I'm a bassist / acoustic guitarist and i was looking for neon acoustic guitar sets. :D

I tried the guitar version, the coating wears off the uncoated G,B & E strings pretty fast, significant coating wear off in less then a month from pick use. No such problem with the bass strings though even though I use same pick on bass. Bass strings havent shown any noticeable wear in 5 months. Maybe a tiny bit of wear that needs magnifying glass to see but thats it. Seems the coating doesnt do well on uncoated strings in my experience. BTW I really like the bass string version. sound, feel, and looks wise,
