New Fender Rumble Combo amps - NAMM 2014

That's what I'm hoping
The last Rumble series reportedly had very honest power ratings, the 350 head had the same power stage as the GB Shuttle 6.1 and Streamliner 600!
I might have found my next amp. The rumble 500 is $500 and it only weighs 36 pounds! Guitar center better get these in soon. They are already on zzounds.

I happen to be in the market for an amp for gigging and rehearsal. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on that 2x10, since I can add a 15 for larger gigs.

It looks to me like Fender improved the limiting in the Rumble 350 so they can now claim the full 500 watts that everyone else who uses that ICE module claims. That has Andy's fingerprints all over it. 
If the combos had an extension speaker jack I'd consider getting one to replace my old SWR WM12, which is heavy for its size.

Which I think is kind of a bummer, I was really hoping to get 200W through the single 15" driver. I'll still be checking these out when they hit the streets.
The lightweight cab and combo with ceramic driver look a lot like the gb focus/contour line also.
It really is a 'Catch 22' Damned if you do. Damned if you don't situation. Before the 150 & 350 combos were fixed 4 ohm only designs with no extension speaker output jack. This helped make them almost 'bulletproof' and very nearly teenager proof.
People complained of lack of flexability and non-expandability. Now we have 8 ohm designs.
I shudder to think of the vast number of posts where people can not figure out how to add ohms in parallel cabinets and that 8 ohms + 8 ohms = 4 ohms. :scowl:
These look great, I wonder how they sound.
Next bit of gear to upgrade (not urgently though) is my combo. Would love a 'classic'-looking combo that I can use at gigs instead my head+cab. The new Rumbles might be the solution.
