What, did they make it out of collapsed dwarf star material?
The body and neck were both maple. The body was about twice as thich as a Ric 4003 and the neck felt like 1/2 of a baseball bat. Seriously, it was heavy.
I'd like to pick me up a Victory Artist (2 pickup), Ripper, or RD Artist.
Here's an interesting story about the RD basses. Gibson had originally designed it to be a John Entwistle signature bass. Entwistle even had the first 2 prototypes ever built because Gibson gave them to him to try out. He didn't like them though.
