I've also heard Trace watts, GK watts, Peavey watts, etc. Basically, where any amp builder=X, some fan of that company on TB has said "X watts."Think it goes Kmart watts, Behringer watts, solid state watts, tube watts, Mesa watts, Watts on 2nd

Not really, it's a "boost" and cut filter (not really but that's how it appears to work) that has a different shape and response than the parametric eq filters.
I've found it to be the "Cut Through The Mix" knob myself.
I've played around with it to see how it affects my tone. I usually find my sound with it between 12 and 1. If I need help sitting in the mix (and my overall volume doesn't need a boost), I just bump it up and I'm there.
Yeah, that was a strange one.and then there's TC Electronics watts...

I did the same a month ago.I just ordered myself a WD800 from Sweetwater after reading all these posts. Looks like I’ll be selling my 800+ now.

Old news. Their new specs are quite thorough...and then there's TC Electronics watts...

I did sell my NV610 and SVT CL and replaced it with the new Mesa 2x15. Absolutely no regrets. The 2x15 kills! The big rig just wasn’t practical anymore as all the venues I play have decent PA systems. The portability factor is a big bonus too.Affliction with Mesa gear...1x15 arrived today! I was skeptical about a 1x15 bringing the thunder (along with cutting mid range.) This little cab has amazed me. Been switching between the Mesa 15, Berg NV610 and a Berg HS210. The Mesa just sounds more full/ fatterr on the D and G strings (Fender P with SPB-1, flats) I'm thinking another 1x15 and I have my new indoor/ outdoor rig. Maybe selling the NV610...yeah the Mesa is that good.
Tc watts +/-/= Behringer watts now.Old news. Their new specs are quite thorough...
Received my tube replacement today, thanks to Andy and Garry. I know it’s a PITA to send a small tube to Canada from the US(so much hassle for a small shipment) but you guys came through. This WD is the best thing I’ve ever played through. So happy with my purchase. My new wd800 arrived today and the tube is micophonic. Changed cables, Basses, speaker cables and cabnits. Customer service ain’t open today. Ugh, not what I was expecting right out of the box.
