Omg this is the rig I had in mind! My mesa boogie big block 750 is getting repaired right now and I walked into haight street music and they just so happened to have a WD800 and subway 1x12. I was pretty surprised at how full sounding and articulate the small rig is with the amp set flat and the eq slightly boosting 1.3khz. I only had a short time with it but it was really impressive. Curious as to how it sounds with one 2x12 cab as well as with both. You've got an amazing rig my friend!

Yes you lose a little low end, but that was part of the use case here, the sub is sitting to the right of the rig as pictured.

Second, bought this for use as a stand for my mixer .

*Edit* huge gain in being able to hear myself. Adding that this stage is constructed out of recycled plactic fencing and only 4" high. Certain that the stage other than a Sonic reflective surface ads nothing to the aural experience.

I did this regularly with the D800, with an 8 ohm load this allows one to push the output stage "tube emulation" *edit* at a"reasonable volume" ** which is different from the preamp overdrive, more spongey and lower frequency distortion / harmonic artifacts. I found this to be useful.

Yes, I am aware.
I was using the SW 15 as the size of the cabinet, so if it's 19" tall, Id like to get the center of the speaker to be about 4' off the ground, making the stand approx 3'3".
Curious as to how much (if any) low end would be lost out front with the cabinet that far aboove the floor.
The other option would be to tilt it but prefer to just go straigt up.

There may be a small dip at say ~150Hz and maybe another smaller dip at 300Hz but the other boundaries will serve to fill in and blur the anomalies.

(I didn't calculate the boundary dip frequencies, just a casual guess).

The Worx table I posted is 32" super portable and stable will hold 300 lbs definitely not a meter tall . Personally at 6'3" it fits the bill: this stand is the most gig worthy unit I could find. And at less than 50 USD it's a no brainier.

The L2500 is an insanely flexible, capable, comfortable 5 string and the tributes are killer for the money. I play this more often than any Bass I own.

The D800 (+) are stellar amps !
The WD was calling my name. I loved the tone of the Hybrid amps from Mess and even more so the fruits of @agedhorse design concepts.

I don’t see much movement of the woofer (at low volumes) unless I really dig in. I have the amp in 2ohm mode, so each cab is getting 250w as opposed to 450w (4ohm). I bet I would see much more movement in 4ohm mode.

I can’t speak highly enough of the Darkglass MT900. I mostly use the clean EQ side, but I also use the B3k OD as well.

I’m very impressed by how it handles my SW12/15 setup. I have no amp GAS after acquiring this rig!

I’ve been loving my WD800 through one or two Berg HD112s. I got a Trickfish TF112 last week and I have to say I’m really impressed with it, at least in my living room. A couple inches deeper physically. The sound is killer, very rich, balanced, and articulate. Pairing with one of the Bergs really works well too, and I’m going to try that combo at a gig this week. Anyone else using these?

I have used Bergantino HD112's and HDN212 with the D800+. It's a solid slam fest you can't go wrong.

I’ve been playing around with my two day old WD-800 and all my cabs (3 Barefaced, 3 Audiokinesis). Yummy is the short version.
Right now my favourites are 2x12’s. A Hathor 1203/C112T stack and a BF SuperTwin. The tone is just amazing. The AK C1533, BF BBII, Two10 are great as well but I’m really digging the depth and richness that the WD imparts on dual drivers. EQ flat except some Treble and Passive Mid cut, HPF off and Damping in Low.
I’m also really digging the Damping control. A whole ‘nuther level of sweetness.
I believe I’ll be gigging this for a good while.
I was able to successfully mimic the WD set flat with an Arkham Zephyr and a BB800 by playing with the Zephyr’s tone Stack (BB8 flat). I’d consider that heady praise for the WD. The Zephyr is a very good piece of kit, and I have a soft spot for the James Tonestack.
Now I just gotta figure out what to sell to get the 215. :smug:
