New Quilter bass amp!

That was my first one. The cable was wrong, the adapter was right just not facing the camera.

No problem. I get a lot of posts that seem to go at me and I am not allowed to respond in kind under threat of immediate banning. If i did what you did I'd be gone. If it weren't for that I'm up for any conversation. But it is what it is.
And if you noticed, I'm not saying the 802 is bad. Far from it. Much the same as I didn't pretend the issue I had with the BB800 didn't exist. I look at all of this stuff, warts and all.

Hey, cut that out! Eliminate the FX loop and I lose half of my troubleshooting tips that I can pull out in an instant and look halfway smart.
Next you'll want them to get rid of the preamp tube…!
It's the same when set flat. You can cut and boost with the four bands in a different fashion from the 800.
this 802 seems to be missing an XLR out amirite?

Yep. Most gigs that I play these days(aside from Jazz/background stuff), when I get on stage there is an XLR cable there waiting for me. When I had the BB800 I only had a couple of engineers tell me that the signal I was sending was way too hot. I would have though that after all of the talk in the Quilter mega thread that they would have considered a full featured DI in the new model, but I guess we need to remember that TB doesn't encompass the entire bass playing world

The sound people that say the signal is too hot crack me up. Most likely culprit? They have your channel set at mic level or the trim set too high.
aka operator error.
And Quilter has representation here. So they know what's been discussed.
Guys, I've read many posts on here about the Quilter BB800/802, but I'd like to ask why you have brought one, if it's isn't for its small size.
The reason I ask is I'm thinking of getting a new head to run a Helix Stomp in to a Fearless F112. I don't need a pre amp stage, although I do feel safer having one. At the moment I'm using my GK MB800, but I think it's colouring the tone a bit too much.
I guess what I'm asking is tone wise, what does this offer that other heads don't.

I am certain that either Bass Block will deliver for you in this application, but do not discount the preamp section, which for me serves as a global EQ (with my Helix) along all the "live" benefits of the limiter circuitry.

It's possible you'd be happy with that combo. I bought the BB800 to be the power section for my pedal board setup that runs: volume pedal > comp. > Linden EQ > HX Stomp > XLR in to BB800.
Since I use that XLR in, it bypasses the EQ section in the BB800...which is exactly why I wanted to use it with the HX Stomp. The different bass amps sound great and I'm VERY happy with the setup. However, I will say, the EQ on the BB800 is very musical for what it is. I'd love to try the BB802 just to hear the differences in the new EQ section.
