New Sire P Basses!

I may have missed this, but have Sire indicated when the P7 will be available? I assume it will be at a similar price point to the V7.

Also, they have been good to lefties and those around the world so far. Please let this continue.

As far as I know they haven't announced an availability date, or price. I would expect it will similar at a price point but that is approximate... Will be more Vintage V7 price, or regular? My guess is closer to vintage pricing... just because. And I certainly expect a lefty version.

DAMNIT !!! I just purchased a 5 V7 and though I love it I would love this a hell of allot more.
Resale value on Sires is still pretty good around here. Play your V7 for a while and then consider a swap when the P7 comes out. Or just get both! :D

Meh... This is how I imagined a Jazz guy would design a P bass. With all the pickups and knobs (and a J neck, heh) it kinda misses the point of the P, which imo is simplicity. Sure, the market might be there for this kind of thing, but I'll pass.

Switch it to passive and use the top stacked knob which is top volume and bottom tone. The beauty of the Sire basses is that it actually has a tone knob. And if you ever get stuck with a crappy amp you have the option to use the great pre-amp that is installed in Sires.

Wish they made the P pup in the reverse configuration. I play this bass all the time and love it. Gives the D & G a but more girth and the E & A are not quite as woofy in comparison. More companies need to do this IMHO.

Wouldn't call it smack, whatever kind of slangy pidgeon english that is...Preferring to NOT live anywhere but heavy mountains has NOTHING to do with ANYTHING..Keep your inferences against some kind of prejudice toward fellow Canadians in a different area, to yourself.(IE not on Talk Bass)...and for informational purposes, near ALL of Canada has ZERO use for French in any way.
At least 7 to 9 million people in Canada would beg to differ with you.

If you're going to order others to keep their 'inferences of prejudice toward fellow Canadians in a different area' to themselves, you might want to set a good example and not indulge in it yourself.

There always has to be some non bass twaddle on here

Well people in the east always have to assert their superiority in some way to the rest of Canada. Sort of like a social network on here, always non subject twaddle when certain types get their panties in knot..Can't be avoided really.
