New Sire P Basses!

Of course I have no inside info but all previous Sire V7 basses can be operated in passive mode and have a tone knob that operates in passive (and active) mode. I expect that it's the same with these.

That new quilted jazz is sweeeeeet! I like the bound body and matching headstock. I hope they make make a read or black one! I do wish, however, that they would bring the knobs down a little way on the body.

Like, did anyone actually think Sire was going to make a bare-bones, traditional P Bass? That doesn't fit their business model at all and it's been done to death at almost every imaginable price point.
This looks to be an excellent, affordable modern PJ. I am happy to see this coming to the market, as the closest product is Fender's mim deluxe PJ. As much as I love Fender, I can't get behind their preamp in that thing. I'm definitely interested

Active PJ, one of my most favorite electronics arrays. You don't know what a PJ can really do if you haven't tried an active version.
