I like her sound much more than most other solo bassists. It's got more ass end to it than most with just a touch of high end for clarity.
Tal's tone rocks! Very thick but defined.

Is that a Sadowsky Metro or NYC? She has crazy nice tone in that clip.

Ya, Roger Sadowsky actually gave her a bass from what I've heard.Thanks- ash I assume? I didn't realize the body was painted at first![]()
amazing bassist, but shes got an attitude problem. still cant help but wish i could play that well
Great clip, great playing, great tone. Nice to see the majority of the comments are positive as opposed to the usual TB shredding. The presenter didn't say the future of jazz but did say bass. She's young, she's talented and she's got a great future. I think I must be compensating for something with my wacky 6 strings.![]()

Just a thought: The next person that post and asks about small hands and bass playing should get linked to some clips of Tal.

I don't know...her playing has an elasticity to it that's really cool and you don't hear it too often. She's very talented no question, but just sounds like every other bass player on the smooth jazz station in the 80's to me.
