New Zoom B3 has arrived!!!!

So I used my B3 at my first gig last night. I def need to tweak it a bit. Probably will bring my rig home rather than use my practice amp.
I like it's size and overall it is good. 1 thing I preferred about the Line 6, is you don't have to go through every effect to find the correct one, rather they are grouped by function.
The B3 is 1/2 the price of the M9 so with some computer editing I am sure I will be happy camper in the long run.

Just sharing, because this was news to me... email from samson customer support:
"To reset the entire pedal, hold down the STORE button when powering the unit on. It should then give you the option to initialize all the original patches to their factory settings."
Haven't tried it yet, but kept seeing everyone complain that it didn't have a factory reset. I'll give it a shot tonight or tomorrow.

Jason, I found that in the manual. 1st thing I did, I wish you could just erase all the patches. As you go up and down through the banks, you don;=t know which effects in that bank are engaged until you switch to it. There can be some startling results.

Got mine yesterday, and I'm really impressed.
The defret-slow attack-stereo chorus patch I made sounds just like a double bass with a bow.
Last night, I used the B3 as a D.I. with the XLR output to my band's practice PA to mimic the setup we 'may' have at an outdoor gig coming up in a week.
Seemed to be fine, nice having the amp modeling etc.
but
how are you guys dealing with the HUGE increase in volume/output from the B3? Is this normally what D.I. boxes do? I don't have any D.I. box experience.
- Ibanez active bass vol. pot: 90%
- B3 'global settings volume': 20
- PA Head channel volume: 1.5 (out of ten)
I was still getting peak warnings on the amp. Is this normal? Am I missing something? Thanks guys

Just looking through the manual here, but it seems that there's an active/passive input setting. Do you have active selected?
Thanks wshines, but yeah I did have it set on Active. Nothing sounded bad or blown out etc. It just surprised me that I have to turn some stuff down so low. Wondering if that is normal...

I've been using the "Total" button to turn each patch volume down to a constant level. ie so they all sound about as loud as one another through my particular amp/cab and not much louder than the original input signal.
Now whether or not this is the "done thing" will be discovered in following replies I guess! (Gotta love TB!)

definately go thru it and adjust ALL the patch volumes to avoid surprises .. !!
so far after a few months , mine is working well for many things ...
different basses , a nylon acoustic/elec guitar , an electric guitar w/ a differnt distortion pedal , a fairly basic extra synth ( Roland GAIA analog modeler ) ...
my B3 is for studio use thus far ... it is fun to program and it does have many uses if you take the time to fiddle with it ..
