New: Zoom B3n Multi-Effects

Just bought one of these and will be using it as my fly rig for tour. Just wanted to subscribe because I figure this thread would be the first one to get update or firmware notifications. Is there anything in 150 pages that I absolutely must know?
Many secrets are encoded in the depths of this thread! We shall not divulge them this easily!

But seriously...no...? I think there was a firmware update...maybe? Probably easier to check Zoom's site than dig through this thread to look for it. :)

All I'd say is, it's a great unit, congratulations and enjoy!

There have been updates to Guitar Lab and new Zoom-authored patches, but I'm pretty sure there haven't been any actual B3n firmware updates.

There is a super secret setting only accessible by pressing a combination of switches but no that has tried it has survived. Spontaneous bassplayer combustion. Sad...

One thing I've never really understood about Zoom is why they don't have the same effects across platforms. Doesn't make any sense why some things are available on the B3, but not the MS-60b or B3n. I understand why it doesn't work the other way, but for those of us that like the older models and would still like to use them, they should be available. I'm a fan of RackComp and Bass Boost on the MS-60B. Not available on the B3n yet. Others work just fine, but they aren't quite the same.

Or a B5n for that matter

They’re releasing updated / new effects every 3 months or so via updates, rather than offering the older, lower quality (note: not BAD quality) effects from the older units.

I have a G3n as well and they dont have the fuzz face (a guitar effect) on it, but have it on the bass version, go figure.

So I have a B3 and was thinking about selling it and going back to a using single effects. I don't use a lot of effects, mainly OD and chorus on occasion. But now that the B3n has come down to $149 it almost seems like a no-brainer to get it since a couple of decent single pedals would cost about that much. Thoughts?
Do it, you can always resell if you don’t like it. Or keep it as a head phone amp!

I bought mine a couple of weeks ago for just that reason.

Received my Zoom B3n today. Can’t wait to play with it. Are there any firware updates as of yet?

It came out after the G5n/G3n, and effectively already has the series 2 firmware.

However, three rounds of updates were delivered last year, including improvements to the existing effects, some new ones, and a bunch of sample presets that you can load up via Guitar Lab.
