Umm... how often does a division send 3 of 4 teams to post-season?

Is the AFC North consistently a "hard" division; or does this sort of circumstance present itself often?

Let's be honest, KC played 2nd and 3rd depth players. They "threw away" that game.

It appears that until I started this post I hadn't realized I actually have 2 queries... the first I've already asked.... if the AFC north particularly challenging?

The second..... is it possible KC decided Denver was a better option as a playoff contender than Cincy?

TBH I like to see my local boys do well, but I'm not "necessarily " a fan. I like the game (played in JHS and HS) but don't generally care who wins/ loses/ makes the bowl.

Just really curious how often a division sends 3 teams to post season. Is it every season?

A division sending 3 teams to the playoffs has only happened 18 times. The AFC North did it in the 2020 and 2023 seasons (Steelers, Browns, Ravens both times).

The Bengals or Broncos as a better option for KC is a toss up, but what do I know.

I think KC cared much more about resting their starters, especially a banged-up Mahomes and a 35-year-old Kelce, than which wild card team they might face. I know the Bengals had a nice run to end the season, but I don't think they're viewed as some big threat--not with that defense. Yeah, Hendrickson is great but they gave up a lot of points this season.

Actually in the first quarter when my pathetic Fins were looking good I was screaming at the KC-Denver score. Yelling that I needed KC to do one thing. Just one thing ever. But from the second quarter of the Fins game on it didn't matter anyway.

Being a Falcons fan is nothing but pain and despair. I will argue it is much worse than being a Browns fan. The old saying, is it better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all? They get close every now and then, but always lose.

And, they made two Super Bowls. How'd they go? Well, the first one, a team leader on defense gets arrested in the middle of the night before the game in Miami trying to hire a prostitute. Game was over right then. The other one, well, we all know what happened there. They are snake bit and cursed.

Early Sports Illustrated article about Minshew suggests that the three teams he might land with as backup next season are Atlanta, Indy and Carolina. There would be an odd circular effect if he ends up backing up Penix.
