NFL Week #5

But MAN was I impressed with Miles Austin. 250 yards catching (team record) including the game winning TD.
It was his first start and he made some really tough catches.

yeah that was a high point and I say give Austin the start after Roy comes back. Tashard Choice also did a great job filling the gap left by Felix Jones being out. I've been a fan of Tashard since preseason 2008. I would not be surprised if some day he takes Felix's job honestly. Maybe not but it wouldn't surprise me at all. He's a playmaker.

Romo racked up the yards but we had some big missed opportunities.

bc

Wow, the Broncos punt return team gave the ball back twice in a row due to bonehead penalties, NE had three consecutive offensive series go three-and-out, and Denver came from behind to win.

Anyone running out of excuses why the Broncos are winning games yet?

Have they played a "real" team yet?

Is it possible they are one of the best teams in the NFL this year?

If you haven't been reading Denver's stats, you should. Very enlightening. It seems they are actually playing well on both sides of the ball, and not making any more mistakes really than their opponents.

I wonder how many Patriots bandwagoneers knew Tom Brady's record was 1-5 at Mile High? Now it's 1-6.

4 wins from a playoff birth, baby.

GO BRONCOS!!! MILE HIGH MAGIC IS REAL!!!

It's looking like the Broncs are the real deal. Good show, Denver.

I'm done doubting the Broncos. If not for their basketball counterparts they would have had the ugliest uniforms ever today (the 1980's Nuggets beat them out) and they still won. Very impressive.

On the other hand, the Niners are just killing me. I don't know which was worse - the last second loss to the Vikes two weeks ago or today's absolute disaster. They better come out strong after the bye week because both Arizona and Seattle looked a lot better today.

Nah. The Seahawks' neon green uniforms are uglier.

Good thing I like ugly - the old Astros still have some of my favorite unis.

Alright coyote, you've got another AFC West guy believing in the Broncos. I'm still looking forward to next Monday here in San Diego though ;)

Yeah, I have nothing but respect for the Chargers. While Denver has been playing patty-cake the last few seasons, San Diego has been division champs and a determined post-season contender.

You guys get a bye-week rest and home field.

But we practice high-altitude training. :)

I hope it's a good one.

yea we always have problems there... must be that horrible stuff you coloradians call ... beer.

but yea brady couldn't hit the broad side of the titanic today... back to the drawing board i guess. also i think dean pees was smoking something cuz he did absolutely nothing to adjust to your offense until about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter and then completely abandoned it in overtime :help:

the brown broncos played pretty well, though, and deserved the win. you guys pretty much have the afc west all but locked up at this point.

I don't know what you are talking about. The Jags didn't play today. :)
You are right, they didn't play today. ;) (Soryy, I had to take a little jab at a division rival!) Seriously though, WTH happened with the Jags today? I couldn't see the game here but from the score it looks like they really took a pounding. I can't believe that the Jags didn't score at all.

Wow, the Broncos I think have earned some respect. They have beaten two teams that everyone has said are playoff contenders in the Cowpatties and the Patsies. Congrats to Bronco fans.

Most importantly, the Colts won today. I'm pretty happy about that. :D Even better, it was a division rival. They are well on their way to securing the AFC South title and a playoff spot. They should also have Sanders back after the bye-week. Yep, things are looking pretty good in Indy.

Coloradans who hate the Broncos and root for a division rival. A most amusing lot.

Not a Colorado native so I don't happen to give a rats ass anyways. I was a fan of the raiders a long time before we moved to Colorado. I also happen to know that Broncos fans are the belligerent and moody fans no matter how they fare during the game. Just because I live here doesn't mean I'm going to root for the home team. It also doesn't mean that I'm going to automatically root for their enemy either. It just happens to fall that way.

Hi. I'm Joe Gress. Read the book before you base a review from the cover eh?

Yeah yeah yeah, I know the drill. Yawn.

Hey, anyone who roots for a bunch of yellow jackasses automatically already has there own problems in my book. Especially the belligerent drunk ones. ;)

:D Awesome :D

Don’t get me wrong. I think it is the height of good taste and manners to move into another city or state and bad-mouth their sports teams and fans. It’s a great way to make friends, and in some cities, like New York and Boston, a great way to get the preliminary prep work required for cosmetic dentistry.

Keep charming us Joe. Like I said, it’s most amusing.

Well, they were strong until they were stopped at 4th and 1 in the red zone. Could have gone for the FG, but JDR was doin his old go for it thing.

Once that drive was stopped, the Jags just got bowled over completely. Even Arizona didn't hit us that hard. The damn Colts never hit us that hard, nor do the Steelers, the Texans, or the Titans.

It was so bad that now that it's over, it feels so weird, like it never even happened.

Almost feels like my high school was playing the Saints.

Naked.
