I wanted Detroit to win, but Chicago deserved it after the terrible call that disallowed the second goal in regulation.

I would have given up my hockey fandom for good if the Hawks had lost after that terrible, terrible disallowed goal.



No I wouldn't, but I would be very irate.

I won't argue with the reality that the best team won. And Detroit losing Dekeyser earlier and Filpila (on a cheap shot) in the last game didn't help a team that was young and not very deep anyway. As far as the officiating, while the call was bad it was no worse than the Penalty shot call the game before, so I wouldn't have been shedding any tears for Chicago if they would have lost . And Crawford better get his game together, because I doubt that Quick or the LA defense will be giving up many softies.

But Chicago was clearly the better team by big margins in every facet of the game but goaltending, and they played with the intensity they needed when they had to, so they deserved it. And for the first time in a long time as a Wings fan, I have to say the officiating while far from perfect was relatively even in the series.

Glad Detroit is finally gone. The fireworks and gunshots will finally stop in my neighborhood after every Red Wing goal and win.

Also had some bets here with some coworkers this round I need to collect on now... especially sweet after the Wings were up 3-1!

Good to see the Hawks figured out their mental issues in time to save the series. Amazing to see them win three straight, though.

Yah but the Pens are daring the B's to hurt them on PP. With 3 shots in 3 attempts (one of them 3 min!) They're gonna take that deal.Until the B's produce they're smart to just keep playing edgy and beat on the B's.

Of corse,,Chara in the Box on a 5 on 3? Fresh sheet for 1:30. That's a great trade for the Pens who are SO deep with O that sitting Crosby is worth it.

Interesting game. Felt the Pens got to their game for the most part, just hit posts instead of net. Misconduct for Cooke's boarding play is a joke. Intense hockey game all around. Bring on Game 2!
