NHL 2013 post season thread!

My wife can't stop laughing at this.

Separated at birth?

If I turned the game on right now and had no idea what the score was, I'd think Boston was losing based on how hard they are playing. Pittsburgh looks like they are in cruise control. I wonder how Iginla feels right now. :)

I'm sorry, I can't go there, The little Elvis is a class act all the way. I'm a huge fan.

Krug made some poor choices tonight.

Johnny ROCKET!

There you go Bruins, get that third on Fleury. He's been average at best, so no surprise.

The Bruins are in the Pens heads, Julien has out coached Bylsma, and now the Pens are more concerned with hitting guys and trying to send some stupid kind of message than scoring goals and winning a game. This Pens team is mentally weak, so I figure they'll get swept at this point.

Knee jerk reaction immediately after watching the team I like get blown out again? Perhaps, but someone go ahead and show me why I should be encouraged for game three? The friggin star of the Pens coughs up the puck and gives up a goal five seconds into the game. What a joke.

That was Letang's partners fault for not getting getting back and covering a high risk D play by a offense-man. That said Sid should have short-stopped that thing instead of trying to swipe it out of the air.

Oh, I am too. I just wonder how he feels now after blowing off the Bruins at the trade deadline.

I know what you meant, I just don't want to mock regret of such a man.I want to see him raise the cup.(Not at the B's expense though) I was crushed not getting him. I was SO psyched that he was going to be Bruin.

I'm not going to mock the Pens for losing 2 games decisively. They just look out of gas and motivation, out there.

That gorgeous play/goal by Krejci was something else, though. Beautiful passing. Wow!

How about that between the legs pass by Looch? Damn. Bruins looked like the Penguins and the Penguins looked like... the Flyers? :P I hope Vokoun starts next game. It wasn't his fault the team was down 3-0 and the first goal Fleury gave up was soooooo weak.

I'm right there with you on Voukon buddy.

I had a chat with one of the surgeons where I work this morning, a huge Bruins fan. He made the same comment, sort of, he said the Bruins looks like the Penguins and the Penguins look like the Bruins.

Also, how horrible has Letang been this post season? Even the game he had 4 points in he played horrible on defense. I made fun of how bad I thought Karlsson was on D during the Sens series, but Letang has proven he's not any better right now. The hard pinch in the first minute of the game resulting in the first goal, his turnover resulting in the second goal (seriously, why are you trying to hit Orpik coming out of the box? what on earth is he going to do with the puck?), then he took the play off once Boston reached the net on the 3rd goal. He needs benched as a wake up call.

Bylsma put the nail in the coffin for Vokoun. Was a BAD move taking him out. B's set up a triangle in the high slot and didn't get touched on that last one he let in. --Take a goalie out when he sucks, not when his defense takes a coke and sandwich break while B's are bringing it up the ice.

Had that been the Pens on offense, the B's would have been draped over at least 2 of the 3 forwards on an aggressive back-check. There's the difference.

But back to the goalies - now - does either one have ANY confidence?

As a pens fan, I cannot wait until Letang is gone.

Not worth $7 million. Not even close. Get a defender who cares about d, not about wishing he was a forward. We have plenty of those.

I've completely 180'd from "I hope we can resign Letang" to "I really hope we don't resign Letang". There's enough offense on this team where a careless and risky offensive D man is not what we need, especially for the price. He's also letting his emotions get the best of him.

That said, this series is not over. Penguins had no really had a "melt down" game these playoffs yet, so one was bound to happen. It is fully possible for them to win 3 of the next 4, but it's not going to happen playing the way they did last night.

Going into the playoffs, I said I didn't really care who the Pens played, but I hoped that Boston would lose. This is exactly why.

92 or when it was Boston took the first 2 at home. Pens came back to win the next 4 strait. I went to one of the home losses.

The odds are heavy our way but , it ain't over, not even close.

You guys need to put yesterday out of your minds and focus on the first 2 periods of Sunday. How many post?

Bylsma had no choice but to pull Vokoun. It wasn't that Vokoun was bad, he was simply trying to inject some life into the Pens. Didn't help that Fleury left in that softy on the first shot he faced though. Maybe Bylsma should have expected that?

Broons now outscoring Pens 9-1 at this point. This is surgical at this point.

Fleury couldn't have asked for a better scenario to come back with. The crowd was going nuts cheering his name. Sutter even got the quick first goal after the change. All he had to do was make it to the first intermission and the Pens would have came out in the second with huge momentum. Nope.
