NHL 2013 post season thread!

Is it fair to say that the Hawks are the Pens with slightly less offensive firepower, but better overall defense?

IMO, the Pens were grossly overrated this year. Due to the shortened season, their schedule saw them playing mostly in their own division, which was weak.

Their one great strength was their offensive firepower. But their goaltending was mediocre, at best, and their defense was absolutely pathetic. This is not a recipe for being a Stanley Cup contender.

The Bruins, on the other hand, have a deep talent pool and are going to be damn tough for the Hawks to beat. Their defense is especially suited to counter the Hawks' offense. If the Hawks play in the finals like they did against the Kings, the Bruins will walk all over them.

I think they'll step up, though, and this has the potential to be a truly great hockey series. :hyper:

That word just sounds very, very filthy. ;)

BTW, did anyone see the report that D. Byfuglien weighed 302 pounds at seasons end?

YES LOL. Big fatty. I love Big Buff but man, that guy needs to get his **** together. With the talent and agility that guy has combined with his size, can you imagine how good he would be if he actually worked out and trained hard?
