NHL 2013 post season thread!

Awesome game,pretty even in most of the play.

Too bad the B's couldn't finnish on any of those chances.

5th longest game ever.... I wanted the RECORD (It's not my body).

Give me 5-6 more like that one!

2 of the Bruins' goals and 2 of the Hawks' goals were the direct result of serious breakdowns in discipline by the defense that were immediately capitalized on by the opposing offense. In this game it evened out, but the team that fixes this penchant for mental lapses first is going win the Cup.


Jagr seemed to be absolutely everywhere. How does a guy who's played for 21 years in the NHL manage to be such a presence on the ice and keep up the pace through over 100 minutes of up-and-down hockey action? DAMN.

Agreed - would have preferred a different result, but can't complain about the effort and entertainment value. Let em play best out of 14.

Losing Horton hurt last night and if he misses any games that will be a big challenge. It was good to see Seguin get on the board with an assist and in general be more involved - the B's will need him to find his scoring touch if Horton is not available (truthfully, they probably need it even if Horton is OK)

Good point about the D lapses.
Julien sat Krug for awhile after his, but put him back in OT and he was pretty good after that.

I'm not sure if it was the NBC or the NESN guys who said it but Jagr goes the same speed the whole game, just doesn't seem to tire - so when everyone slows down and Jagr doesn't - he eventually catches up and passes everyone else. He is another player that is on the doorstep of a goal outburst.
