Well from the ref's point of view, he sees the two players make contact and then Voracek's leg kick up in the air and take down Bourque. Bad call but I see why it was made.
And watching two [players going for the puck he somehow misses the back-swinging arm, Voracek's head snapping back, his glove going for his face as he falls... yet he sees the leg come up.
BTW, in Phantoms play last night, Manning taps a guy along the boards, guy starts skating back to the bench and about 20 seconds later starts falling to the ice in front of the bench and going into convulsions. Scary sight. Oops, was a boarding penalty, but it wasn't that bad.

I missed that too. I thought it was a clear penalty, and the right call. As did the entire Flyers broadcast crew.
I'm torn about whether to follow this afternoon's game over the internet as it happens, or to try to avoid hearing the score and watching it on the DVR when I get home.
Pens are 8-2 in their last 10. Not playing at Blackhawks level but pretty damn good. Still hearing trade rumors about going after a winger like Setoguchi. Not sure how I feel about that, as I'm digging where the Pens are at right now with their team play and chemistry.
Same here. There have been quite a few moves already. I'd like to see this group have more time to gel before another piece is added. That being said, I have always liked Setoguchi, so that would be sweet if the Pens picked him up.

BTW, Islanders always have matinee games on Monday holidays like Presidents day for some reason it seems like.
Final 7-0. SOG 25-19. Bryz with the shutout. Voracek 4 point afternoon (4A), Giroux (2G, 1A), Briere (2G, 1A), and Read (1G, 2A) with 3 points a piece.
Unbelieveably ugly. Nabakov should have been pulled by the third goal. First goal may not have been all on him, but goal #2 he was standing 15 feet out in front of the goal looking back at it making little effort to get back. Goal #3 he was way off to the side nowhere close to being able to defend. He was awful. Of course as unorganized as the Isles looked in front of him...

Welcome to my world. Just when I think they may be turning a corner,(beat the Devils soundly, beat the hated ranger$), they lay this crap on my TV.
When they spent most of a 2 minute 5-3 trying to get set up (and get an icing call on top of it), I knew they we're done.
Yet I stuck around till 6-0.
Ugh.
To keep their locker rooms cool? I don't know, they can't have much of a budget at this point.
Despite the Isles ownership's best efforts to chase us away (using CBA loopholes just to get up to the salary cap floor, a roster half full of AHL'ers, albatross contracts, etc etc...)
...there's still a few of us left.
There was an article in the NY Post that ownership is in preliminary talks to sell the team.
