NHL Regular Season 2017-18

Well Mike, you get your dream matchup: Flyers vs. Pens in the 1st round. With their 5-0 dismantling of the Rangers today, combined with losses by Columbus and New Jersey, the Flyers vault from the 2nd Wildcard position to 3rd in the Metro.

Pens have owned the Flyers this year, so they have to be smiling right now. I was hoping the Flyers would draw the Capitals because they've done well against them this year.

Not even the same team really. Don't know why you'd make that comparison so long after the move?

Really, it breaks down to the rights to operate an NHL franchise moving , not a transplant of the same old same old. They keep who they want, dump who they don't. New culture. New town. New team. Atlanra is only where the paper used to reside.
I was being facetious or sarcastic or a smart a**:smug:

Hey hockey fans, some things are bigger than the nhl playoffs. And what happened yesterday in Saskatchewan is sending ripples of grief through the hockey community and beyond.
If you pray, please send a prayer to the families of the Humboldt Broncos. If praying isn't your thing, then please send out some positive vibes out into the universe for them.

My heart is breaking for them.

Pens should win the series.
If the Flyers get in Malkin's head and rough up Crosby early, they can take the series like they did six years ago.

And so it's finally set.
With a Panthers victory, the Leafs will face the Bruins in the first round.
I felt more confident facing the Lightning, but, we've beaten the Bruins in the regular season series, and we have some paybacks for the 2013 playoffs, when they came back from a 4-1 deficit in the third to beat us in OT in game 7 of the first round.

The Second Season is upon us, it's gonna be a good one!

I gotta agree. Whatever your loyalty, it should be a damn good playoff for The best trophy in pro sports:thumbsup::):hyper:

I love it! And always watch till the end, no matter who's in the finals (cuz it's obviously not been my team since about 7 months before I was born, lol)

So, as it's hard for my cluttered pea-brain to remember whose playing when there's 16 teams left, the playoff bracket is below.
Some good series' in the first round, besides the only Original 6 teams playing, Leafs/Bruins, there's the battle of Pennsylvania, Ducks vs. Sharks, the Preds vs. the underdog Avs and Hart trophy candidate McKinnon, the surprising Knights vs. anyone (cuz it's just a great story), and if you American fans want to see our answer to a crazy Nashville crowd, do yourself a favour, and check out a Winnepeg home game, those fans are hardcore.

Eastern Conference Matchups (with my picks):

Flyers vs. Penguins (Pens in 6)
Devils vs. Tampa Bay (Devils in 7)
Toronto vs. Boston (Boston in 7)
Columbus vs. Washington (Columbus in 6)

2 out of 4 is not bad.

I like your Devil's pick, they could be the dark horse for sure.

I think the Caps will take the Jackets, just to lose (AGAIN!) to the Pens in the second round. Just cuz that would be funny.

And Leafs in 6, give your head a shake, son!
