NHL Regular Season 2017-18

I think the Pens had enough back to back games this season. It was pretty crazy how many they had.

It sure was, but not traveling between them in this instance makes it OK by me.
But hey, Malkin may need those extra days to calm down between games. If Philly gets in his head, it may be all over for Pens fans.
On the other hand, if Malkin shows up and decides to take over, it may be over for Flyers fans.

I'd hate to see Crosby down, but to tell the truth, Malkin steps up his game when Sid is not in the lineup. If he could just do that WITH Sid in the lineup, things would look better. Yes, he was on fire from January into mid-March, but unfortunately he's got a history of disappearing for stretches in the playoffs. Hopefully he's matured enough to show up for every game!

Yep, totally agree bro.

Whether the Jackets can take the Caps or not depends on Bob. He has an unfortunate habit of disappearing in big games, whether it's the SC playoffs or the Olympics. I hope he can get his head together.
Must be something with those talented Russians and their disappearing acts. Malkin, Bobrovsky, etc. Hopefully Ovechkin and Kuznetsov join that group later this week.

Well, if the Bruins don't pull their heads out of their butts, and fast, they'll be a disappointing quick exit from the playoffs. They ended the season playing some of their worst hockey since November. Jeez. Seems to be that a really odd combination of a loaded schedule facing mostly playoff contenders, adding new talent to the roster, and catching a whole lot of injuries in the process has got them stumbling into the post season. Oh well.

Right now, Rask is letting up at least one softie goal per game. Defense has been AWFUL at clearing their own zone, and seemingly most noticeably since Chara/McAvoy have returned. Bruins playing from behind almost every game, getting off to slow starts in the 1st period. These are not good signs.

If the Bruins have another gear and can just flick a switch, that's yet to be determined.

Well, I'm a die hard Bruins fan, so not sure you'd REALLY like me, but I tend to call 'em like I see 'em, and the Bruins are playing for crap right now. The Leafs are catching them at a good time. However, the 4-5 day break can also be a huge momentum killer for teams that are on a roll, so we'll just have to see which team shows up for this series. Cassidy did a great job with this team this year, but there will be some very, very angry fans if the Bruins bow out without putting up a stink, and ESPECIALLY if Rask disappears in the series. A lot of people think that the Bruins can't win it with Rask. He's got some proving to do.

Allow myself to quote myself from February....

My thoughts (hopes) are, the Bruins peaked early, and will falter down the stretch. However, if I'm wrong, I'd rather face the Lightning first in the playoffs, because the bruins are choking everyone out lately. Hard to find flaws in their game lately. Not to mention the heartbreak they gave us in the 2013 playoffs.

Looks like you need some help fixing your posts too.
No worries, I got your back bro. :D

Aww, you're right. The Pens ain't no good. I don't think they've done anything like removed y'all from the playoffs recently.
My mistake.

I will say this, despite what Tortorella says, I think he didn't want to face Pixburg in the first round because of their history. If the Jackets get past Worshington that would certainly give them the confidence to beat the Pens in the semis.
