While I can't say I like all your picks,I'd agree except for Tampa-depending on Stamkos' situation
Yeah, I've got a soft spot for Stamkos, he played Junior on my hometown Sarnia Sting, got to see him play a few times. And I feel bad, he always gets hurt at the wrong time. The guy is a beast, and deserves a decent Cup run.
Maybe, but since the Cats are out(as usual),I'm rootin' for the 'Bolts.
Over the years I've seen a lot of organizations in all the major sports put together a "team" of stars that didn't do diddly. Vegas has an old school coach,put together a group of "second level" guys hungry for a chance and made a TEAM out of them,and have been exciting to watch. Fun bunch.

Hey, I don't like some of my picks either! I'd LOVE to see the Flyers upset the Pens, but don't think it'll happen. I'd like to see Toronto beat Boston, and they just might do it. But my gut says Bruins. And I'm already second-guessing my pic of Columbus over the Caps. Columbus struggled against all 4 (Pens, Lightning, Bruins, AND Caps) this year. But if Bobrovsky is hot, they could get into the Caps heads (due to the epic failures of the Caps in past seasons)...While I can't say I like all your picks,I'd agree except for Tampa-depending on Stamkos' situation

Oh,yeah. Ya don't have to LIKE your picks to realize they're prolly accurate. Partly since it is Canada's game I'd like see them take the Bruins but mostly 'cause I strongly dislike the Pens, I'd like to see the Flyers win that one. As somebody said,it's a whole new season and anything CAN happen. It'll be fun to watch. (I will now duck the projectiles thrown by B's and Pens fans)

Anyway, the Philly series will be tough, and I see Pittsburgh prevailing.
Ditto the Caps over the Jackets.
NJ/Tampa should go down to the wire, depending if Kincaid can step it up in the playoffs.
Rooting for the Leafs, but I think the Bruins will outlast them with their depth and experience.
In the West, Nashville, Winnipeg, and Vegas should win easily. The Anaheim/San Jose matchup is pretty even. Pulling for the Ducks in that one.

Your hatred of Murray is asinine. It really sucks how they've won the cup every year he's been on the team, and how he didnt play well this year when his dad was dying.
If it turns out to be those two teams, I'll be torn. In the end, my admiration for Fleury will push me to hope he wins.

Yeah,well,we make our picks based on(a) loyalty,then (b) logic then watch and hope for the best. And good games.
Gotta admit, it's pretty funny watching people defend their fandom, and call out others who don't immediately and fully fall in line with them on every last thing regarding "their" team. I'm glad I'm beyond that with sports in general. It's a pretty toxic mindset to have, and limits enjoyment of the sport and game.
Maybe Columbus will beat the Caps this year so the Pens don't have to, again.
