NHL Regular Season 2017-18

I decided it was OK for some other city to win a SC. It was time to share the wealth.

Inexcusible play from all of the Pens. Pretty poor showing with the post season on the line.
Oh well, time to jump on the Vegas bandwaggon and ride that now. A "three-peat" would've been insane, I'm quite content with the Pens winning the past two.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Two Stanley Cup championships, but the third was not to be.
Props to the Caps...they came to play, and the Pens, not so much. They looked tired and defeated for too many stretches in tonight's game. The hungrier team won, plain and simple.
Can't blame Murray at all in this one. When scrubs like Kuhnackl and Sheahen were your best players in OT, with survival on the line, it's time to look in the mirror.

I didn't want to poop on the Pens parade while they were still in contention but now that their season is done I feel free to proclaim my immense relief that they will not 3-peat. I'm glad I won't have to see their whining about every tiny thing that doesn't go their way for another series. And as much as I have to respect Crosby's immense talent, I don't want to see his arrogant face again until next year.
As far as I'm concerned, any other team that wins the cup will be just fine. I'd kind of like to see the Jets take it though.

He's lucky someone didn't seriously beat the snot out of him and end his season with a summer long injury.
I love how the guys who don't have a team playing in the playoffs are happy the Pens lost.

Still a possibility of a three-peat...for Marc-Andre Fleury!
I think Fleury should bring the SC to Pittsburgh if he wins it again this year.
Him, Ryan Reaves, and James Neal can show up along with Engelland. Might as well let Perron come along too.

Truth be told, there are a few former Hawks players with Stanley Cup rings who are now helping their new teams advance in this year's playoffs.
Some of us just don't like the Pens-or the B's. I'd like to see the Panthers do something but they seem to have taken a cue from the Marlins and trade away their best people. They've become a development team for the NHL.

That's fine. There are teams I don't care for in the NHL as well.
Success brings out the best and worst in people. Some people love their team even more when they win, and others that disliked the team anyway now dislike them even more.
I can only imagine the rejoicing going on around the country by NHL fans that dislike the Pens. A small (very small) sample of it is on display here.

Good point, Mike. I loathe the Caps, and dislike them even more as of tonight. But even though i'm bummed, my post halfway up this page was congratulatory, and I saluted their efforts tonight. No insults or name-calling, just a conciliatory post as my team was bounced.

Thanks, my friend. We're both hoping JR finds those missing pieces over the summer and brings the Cup back to the 'burgh! 
I know where they are. If he'd just answer my text messages, I can help him get them back.
