NHL Season 2018-19

Pens will wear this patch tonight.

'Yotes are riding a four-game winning streak, and have outscored the opponents 20-4 during that stretch. (CBJ/Van/TB/Ott)

And each of those teams are over .500, except for the Sens, who came into last night's game at .500.

The good news is that both goalies (Raanta & Kemper) are playing well now, not leaning on one 'hot' GK.

Come on already Pens. What a joke Tuesday night.
Johnson continues to be nothing. At least Sullivan had the guts to bench Murray.
This won't come out right, but I'm going to say it. Perhaps the Pens should have spent less energy and emotions on the pregame ceremony and focused on the game.

I'm getting to the point of being embarrassed by my pre-season prediction of having faith that Jack Johnson would rebound into the player he once was, and become one of our better defensemen. Now, one month into the season, I'm not even sure he'll be on the NHL roster come January. More giveaways than Oprah.

So remembering the victims and honoring the first responders who went into that synagogue with an active shooter who wounded 4 of them is less important than winning one game in October? (Not that I think it had anything to do with the Pens lackluster performance last night. Good thing they won the 4 previous games.)

Yeah, that didnt come out right.

LOL, 3 cups in 10 years, two in the last three and the sky is seemingly always falling in Penlandia. Lets see how it all goes when the 65 game NHL pre-season is over

Here in Nashville it's the opposite. We believe we're going to win the cup every seasons...right up until we're booted from the playoffs.

One day....we'll win it one day.

Go Preds!

You almost hooked me with your optimism, and I was so hoping you'd be right.
You're probably right @FunkySpoo about the complaining from Pens fans. But hey, the Pens raised the bar and set the SCF expectations for fans. Sure, all teams set that bar, but the Pens met it enough times that fans are spoiled now.
Just imagine what it's going to be like when Crosby and Malkin move on.

^ This. Couldn't explain it any better than that.

Mr Spoo is correct in that we do tend to get worked up over every loss. No doubt our expectations are high based on the recent past, and yes, it's hard to fathom that one day that the careers of 87 & 71 will be history. :crying:
